Before releasing The Honest Hour, Reid Genauer was living life post-Strangefolk. He went into the studio as a solo artist, hired some musicians and came out with Assembly of Dust. And, not just the album but he came out with the band Assembly of Dust as well. Reid describes this as a, “Chicken before the egg,” scenario. This time, Reid decided he wanted an album that truly represents the band. How does a jamband do that? Record a live album. During the interview, you can see performance footage of “Road” cut throughout. After this interview, Reid performs the albums single “Honest Hour.”
