This week. Primus is kicking off their Halucino-Genetic tour with 2-shows at Radio City Music Hall. In addition, the band has released a new DVD titled Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People. I was invited backstage, after soundcheck, to interview the members of Primus. I sat down, individually, with Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde and Tim “Herb” Alexander. Les describes the DVD as a “comprehensive retrospective” of the band’s video catalog which features music videos, making-of content as well as live performances dating back to 1989. Larry mentions that some of the footage found on the DVD cannot be seen anywhere else and Tim… Well… I don’t even think Tim knew they released a DVD.
