In 1979, Peter Sellers played Chance the Gardner in Jerry Kosinsky’s Being There. Chance is a simple gardner who has never left his employer’s estate until the day his employer dies. Director, Hal Ashby tracks Chance’s departure into the real world with Eumir Deodato’s arrangement of “Also Sprach Zarathustra.” Also, known to Phish fans as “2001 Theme Jam.” Being There, also served as the title Wilco’s second album.
